Erica & Marcell were kind enough to meet me while there were back in town visiting Family this past summer.
After I was running late due to some un-expected traffic detours & delays (sorry Roxanne!),
we finally ended up on Raspberry Island in St. Paul.

Lyndsey & Dylan {Engaged!}

They met in high school and have been together ever since.
Next summer they will promise each other their hearts and I am just tickled that I get to document their day.
We met for their engagement pictures on a very early day earlier this summer.
It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Melanie & Matt {Engaged!}

Matt & Melanie.
They go together like peas & carrots.

I’ve known Matt for his entire life. I was 5 years old when his parents first brought him up to
visit us in Minnesota. I was fascinated with him. I think because I was the youngest, and had
never really ever been around a baby (at least that I can remember) before.

Fast-forward about 27 years….
Melanie.
There is absolutely no way I could have ever hand picked anyone better for Matt. Melanie is perfect
for Matt. She keeps him grounded. Melanie completes Matt in such a way that I can’t describe. Matt
loves this girl. With his entire heart.

They are so adorable….

Melanie, you are going to look radiant as a bride.
I’m sure Matt thinks so also…

back to some more couple time.
Matt was very nervous about getting his picture taken.
I am pretty sure he secretly had fun.

A quick change of clothes, and a tiny drive to a new location.

Melanie & Matt, thank you so much for choosing me to document this time in your lives,

I’m Back!

Wow, what a crazy, crazy month this has been…
Time has really just flown by. Seems like it should still be fall, but the new year is right around the corner. I still have many, many sessions that I haven’t blogged about yet, but I promise to get to them before the busy season is upon me.

First up, Katie & Kevin.
Where should I begin with this beautiful couple…
She was supposed to go out of town, but decided to stay in town and go with a friend and her life changed forever. Next summer, they will promise each other and I am so honored that they have chosen me to document their day and I can not wait. I am so happy that I got to document this part of their love story.

Maybe because you can see their love.

and they are both so adorable…

Kevin, you adore Katie. It shows.

and you will always protect her.

Kevin, I am positive that Katie will always hold you close and cherish every minute she has with you.

May you always find new ways to treasure each other. ALWAYS.

E- Harmony {Heather & Steve- Engaged}

As Heather got ready, she thought to herself, here I go again. Steve was thinking the same thing across town.
They had nothing to loose and everything to gain.
Anxious for what was going to be in store for them this evening. It could go either way.

Heather gained everything that evening. So did Steve. E-Harmony brought Heather and Steve together. Love is what grew over the last year. Next summer they will promise each other forever.

Smitten. Heather and Steve, you guys have great chemistry with each other.

Crazy in Love {Andrea & Mike- Engaged}

Andrea walked into the room and gave it a quick scan. She didn’t notice anyone she knew, but Mike sure did notice her. In fact, he told all his friends that he was going to ask her out.

It was their freshmen year at the U of M. The same friend had invited Andrea and Mike to a little get together. Little did they know at the time that they would find true love that night at a small get together. So here they are. Happy, busy with school, wrestling (Mike wrestles for the U of M), and in the middle of planning a wedding the summer after graduation.

It was a windy day, but perfect. Perfect diffused light.

Just as we were finishing, the sun decided it would pop out. I couldn’t resist.

Texas Love {Danielle & Aaron}

Danielle was exhausted. She had been driving for 12 hours to join Aaron in their new home. As she steps out of the car, she takes a deep breath very excited to see Aaron, and begin her new life in Austin. She walks into the house to find a welcome package from Aaron. As she reaches in, she pulls out an amazing pair of boots and notices a tiny box. As she opens it, she turns around to Aaron asking her to spend the rest of her life with him.

Aaron completes Danielle. Danielle completes Aaron. The amount of love this couple has for each other is untouchable. Unique. One of a kind. It shows in everything they do together.

Amy & Jeff {just because and a tiny sneak peek}

It was hot. Really, really hot. and humid. Amy sent me a message saying that they were running late. Butterflies started to set in my stomach. I had never spoken to Amy or Jeff on the phone. We had only communicated via email. I was going into this blind as Amy & Jeff were also. Soon after they arrived, I just new this was going to be a great shoot.

They are so in tune with each other. They have a wonderful connection. They are in love and it shows. We hit it off after talking only for a few minutes. Everything fell right into place.

I have been visualizing this shoot for quite some time. I would drive by and visualize a super cute couple in front of these great store fronts and wall murals. I kept thinking {and hoping} the right couple would come along. And they did….

Amy had these killer boots on… I think I want a pair. Please?

They showed me just how cute they were together. I think they made it even hotter {it had to have been hot, as people were hooting on the street}!

We moved around the corner, to this beautiful wall mural. Just amazing….

Where they showed me just how sweet they are towards each other…

Amy, Jeff looks at you with so much love…
He thinks the world of you, and it shows. I love how he isn’t afraid to show the world exactly the way he feels about you.
It shows in ever gesture he has towards you. You both are beautiful…
