It was hot. Really, really hot. and humid. Amy sent me a message saying that they were running late. Butterflies started to set in my stomach. I had never spoken to Amy or Jeff on the phone. We had only communicated via email. I was going into this blind as Amy & Jeff were also. Soon after they arrived, I just new this was going to be a great shoot.

They are so in tune with each other. They have a wonderful connection. They are in love and it shows. We hit it off after talking only for a few minutes. Everything fell right into place.

I have been visualizing this shoot for quite some time. I would drive by and visualize a super cute couple in front of these great store fronts and wall murals. I kept thinking {and hoping} the right couple would come along. And they did….

Amy had these killer boots on… I think I want a pair. Please?

They showed me just how cute they were together. I think they made it even hotter {it had to have been hot, as people were hooting on the street}!

We moved around the corner, to this beautiful wall mural. Just amazing….

Amy, Jeff looks at you with so much love…
He thinks the world of you, and it shows. I love how he isn’t afraid to show the world exactly the way he feels about you.
It shows in ever gesture he has towards you. You both are beautiful…

It was raining for most of the week. It was raining- pouring- the day of, up until the time we were going to cancel, then the clouds broke leaving this perfect diffused light. Perfect for this couple.

I met Josh at a benefit. Josh & Karin were in need of a wedding photographer. There I was.
Right place, right time. Now I am honored to be photographing their wedding in October. It is going to be beautiful!
After all, how could it not be with such a beautiful couple?

Josh just adores Karin. She has his heart…

and Karin finds protection in Josh’s arms…

Karin, you are just as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside…

They showed me a very fun side…

and they were able to show me their romantic side…

They showed me their style.

I love the mountains. Everything about them. If there was one thing I could have changed about this shoot, it would be to have photographed this very romantic, country session in the mountains of the west. Anywhere in the West. But since I live in Minnesota, no where near the mountains, I will wait until I get the opportunity to photograph a mountain/ranch wedding or just because session. Until that time, I will continue to take my beautiful clients to the hills near my house to capture love like this!

Jamie & Pat, you guys are beautiful together. So full of love and honor for each other. So easy to photograph because your love shows. In every picture. Look where you have come in the 5 years you have been together. It seems like I just took your wedding pictures yesterday, but it has been almost 2 years already! My how time flies…

Now, as you guys are about to open a new chapter in your lives, may these pictures help you to remember this time and the love you share at this moment. I’m sure that you can’t imagine that you will be able to love one another any more then you already do, but in 20 years, may you look back on these pictures with more love in your hearts then you do right now…


Maybe you will still be a little playful at times…

and may you still have some steamy moments…

It was a beautiful morning. The sun was shinning, it was a little cool {about 15 degrees}, and the fog had froze during the night but had lifted with the sun. I could not have asked for anything more after all, I had a beautiful couple with a gorgeous backdrop. Forget that it happened to be Valentine’s Day…

Katie & John received this handmade quilt for their wedding. A perfect way to take the chill off as they cuddled in the snow… Are they not the cutest couple?

Just as I started to shoot these next shots, the wind picked up just a bit causing the frost to fall off of the trees.
