They met in high school and have been together ever since.
Next summer they will promise each other their hearts and I am just tickled that I get to document their day.
We met for their engagement pictures on a very early day earlier this summer.
It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Including a beautiful sunrise…

20 Years Together- Seattle, Washington {Tamie & Brock}

They act just like they did when they first met. I know. I may have been only 11 years
old at the time, but I remember. Brock loves Tammie. To the ends of the earth. She had
his heart from the very beginning. After 20 years together, their love has deepened but they
are very much still in the “honeymoon” stage. I don’t think it ever went away. Even after 4 children.
4 Children!

We went out to Seattle to visit (my hubby, Joel, to salmon fish). I of coarse, brought
my camera and told Tammie and Brock that they had to remember this time in their lives.
What a perfect way to remember their 20th anniversary. 20th Anniversary!

The fall sun in the Pacific Northwest was warm and beautiful as it fell over the mountains.

yep, they are cute….

Perfect for the two of them to be their romantic selves.

and be incredibly adorable…

Brock loves Tammie with his whole being. With all his heart and soul.
They each give their all to each other. They give 110% all the time.
I believe they are perfect roll models for all of us.

I’m pretty sure the sky at sunset is just as beautiful in Seattle as it is in Minnesota.
I could photograph here all. the. time.

Thank you Tammie & Brock for allowing me to document this milestone in your lives.
It was a complete honor that I treasure always. Here’s too another 20 years!

I’m Back!

Wow, what a crazy, crazy month this has been…
Time has really just flown by. Seems like it should still be fall, but the new year is right around the corner. I still have many, many sessions that I haven’t blogged about yet, but I promise to get to them before the busy season is upon me.

First up, Katie & Kevin.
Where should I begin with this beautiful couple…
She was supposed to go out of town, but decided to stay in town and go with a friend and her life changed forever. Next summer, they will promise each other and I am so honored that they have chosen me to document their day and I can not wait. I am so happy that I got to document this part of their love story.

Maybe because you can see their love.

and they are both so adorable…

Kevin, you adore Katie. It shows.

and you will always protect her.

Kevin, I am positive that Katie will always hold you close and cherish every minute she has with you.

May you always find new ways to treasure each other. ALWAYS.

and always make time to be romantic.

E- Harmony {Heather & Steve- Engaged}

As Heather got ready, she thought to herself, here I go again. Steve was thinking the same thing across town.
They had nothing to loose and everything to gain.
Anxious for what was going to be in store for them this evening. It could go either way.

Heather gained everything that evening. So did Steve. E-Harmony brought Heather and Steve together. Love is what grew over the last year. Next summer they will promise each other forever.

Smitten. Heather and Steve, you guys have great chemistry with each other.

Crazy in Love {Andrea & Mike- Engaged}

Andrea walked into the room and gave it a quick scan. She didn’t notice anyone she knew, but Mike sure did notice her. In fact, he told all his friends that he was going to ask her out.

It was their freshmen year at the U of M. The same friend had invited Andrea and Mike to a little get together. Little did they know at the time that they would find true love that night at a small get together. So here they are. Happy, busy with school, wrestling (Mike wrestles for the U of M), and in the middle of planning a wedding the summer after graduation.

It was a windy day, but perfect. Perfect diffused light.

Andrea, you are just as cute as I thought you would be when we talked on the phone.

Just as we were finishing, the sun decided it would pop out. I couldn’t resist.

Amy & Jeff {just because and a tiny sneak peek}

It was hot. Really, really hot. and humid. Amy sent me a message saying that they were running late. Butterflies started to set in my stomach. I had never spoken to Amy or Jeff on the phone. We had only communicated via email. I was going into this blind as Amy & Jeff were also. Soon after they arrived, I just new this was going to be a great shoot.

They are so in tune with each other. They have a wonderful connection. They are in love and it shows. We hit it off after talking only for a few minutes. Everything fell right into place.

I have been visualizing this shoot for quite some time. I would drive by and visualize a super cute couple in front of these great store fronts and wall murals. I kept thinking {and hoping} the right couple would come along. And they did….

Amy had these killer boots on… I think I want a pair. Please?

They showed me just how cute they were together. I think they made it even hotter {it had to have been hot, as people were hooting on the street}!

We moved around the corner, to this beautiful wall mural. Just amazing….

Where they showed me just how sweet they are towards each other…

Amy, Jeff looks at you with so much love…
He thinks the world of you, and it shows. I love how he isn’t afraid to show the world exactly the way he feels about you.
It shows in ever gesture he has towards you. You both are beautiful…

Engaged in Minnesota {karin & josh}

It was raining for most of the week. It was raining- pouring- the day of, up until the time we were going to cancel, then the clouds broke leaving this perfect diffused light. Perfect for this couple.

I met Josh at a benefit. Josh & Karin were in need of a wedding photographer. There I was.
Right place, right time. Now I am honored to be photographing their wedding in October. It is going to be beautiful!
After all, how could it not be with such a beautiful couple?

Josh just adores Karin. She has his heart…

and Karin finds protection in Josh’s arms…

Karin, you are just as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside…

They showed me a very fun side…

and they were able to show me their romantic side…

A Romantic Country Scene {Just Because}…

I love the mountains. Everything about them. If there was one thing I could have changed about this shoot, it would be to have photographed this very romantic, country session in the mountains of the west. Anywhere in the West. But since I live in Minnesota, no where near the mountains, I will wait until I get the opportunity to photograph a mountain/ranch wedding or just because session. Until that time, I will continue to take my beautiful clients to the hills near my house to capture love like this!

Jamie & Pat, you guys are beautiful together. So full of love and honor for each other. So easy to photograph because your love shows. In every picture. Look where you have come in the 5 years you have been together. It seems like I just took your wedding pictures yesterday, but it has been almost 2 years already! My how time flies…

Now, as you guys are about to open a new chapter in your lives, may these pictures help you to remember this time and the love you share at this moment. I’m sure that you can’t imagine that you will be able to love one another any more then you already do, but in 20 years, may you look back on these pictures with more love in your hearts then you do right now…

Maybe you will still be a little playful at times…

and may you still have some steamy moments…

Jamie, you are so pretty with eyes that are ocean blue…

Show me a little Winter Love {Valentine’s Love that is}…

It was a beautiful morning. The sun was shinning, it was a little cool {about 15 degrees}, and the fog had froze during the night but had lifted with the sun. I could not have asked for anything more after all, I had a beautiful couple with a gorgeous backdrop. Forget that it happened to be Valentine’s Day…

Katie & John received this handmade quilt for their wedding. A perfect way to take the chill off as they cuddled in the snow… Are they not the cutest couple?

Just as I started to shoot these next shots, the wind picked up just a bit causing the frost to fall off of the trees.
