We met on a sunny day last winter- about a year ago.
Their wedding took place in one of the hottest months this past summer. It was HOT. And perfect.

After I was running late due to some un-expected traffic detours & delays (sorry Roxanne!),
we finally ended up on Raspberry Island in St. Paul.

Summer is gone, but I have lot’s of weddings to blog.

Next summer they will promise each other their hearts and I am just tickled that I get to document their day.
We met for their engagement pictures on a very early day earlier this summer.

This year, I am not only trying really hard to create beautiful photographs while stepping
outside of what I feel is comfortable and the norm for me, but also taking the time to
practice more. Understanding off camera flash and taking more risks technically as well as
creatively. Figuring out what went wrong and why, how I can change the outcome all while
understanding and maintaining my unique style.

A goal of mine is to be a Fearless photographer. Take more risks. See light differently. Striving to
see each event/session differently and pushing myself to the point where I think I can’t do
it and push some more.
