Little Miss Brynn

Oh, I am so behind on my blogging….
Very behind.

Last year I took Miss Brynn’s pictures, but they never seemed to make their way to my blog. I was just looking at them, and realized that I really have to post them for a few reasons:

1. Brynn is as cute as a button
2. Brynn hadn’t had her picture taken since she was 9 months old- she is now 4!
3. Brynn was so much fun

Oh how she disliked studios. Maybe the fact that they made her pose in a strange fashion. Maybe the fact that they looked a little scary. Maybe none of the above, but she knew that she wasn’t going to smile and cooperate. Not for any kind of bribing in the world. So no pictures were taken. For a few years. Until she came to me…

and she was all full of smiles!

and a little silly!

We moved outside, and her smiles continued.

although, she could turn if off- just like that for me. So perfect! Just like a seasoned pro at this picture thing…

and we played a little dress up-

Pixie Brynn (and my favorite of the whole shoot)…

Thank you Kelly & Mitch for letting me catch Miss Brynn being herself!
She is perfect!

{just a small note, all of these images were shot on film- straight out of the camera}

and-
for the encore….
Her sister, Morgan, had to join in also. So, so pretty.

Show me a little Winter Love {Valentine’s Love that is}…

It was a beautiful morning. The sun was shinning, it was a little cool {about 15 degrees}, and the fog had froze during the night but had lifted with the sun. I could not have asked for anything more after all, I had a beautiful couple with a gorgeous backdrop. Forget that it happened to be Valentine’s Day…

Katie & John received this handmade quilt for their wedding. A perfect way to take the chill off as they cuddled in the snow… Are they not the cutest couple?

and a couple looking at me… Check out Katie’s eyes!

Just as I started to shoot these next shots, the wind picked up just a bit causing the frost to fall off of the trees.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE…

and a few nice portraits…

These just make me feel good. Their love shows.

Thank you Katie & John for letting me take these winter “love” pictures for you.
I had a blast!

Straight from a Fairytale- Part III {Film}

Film. I love it. It is different, unique, and gives pictures a little different feel. Maybe a bit vintage. Real. Organic. All images are straight from film processing. I have done no retouching, no actions have been run, and no color correcting on my end. I only added my watermark.

My trusty Cannon EOS 3 was with me in California at Jessica’s workshop.
I love this camera. I have shot with it for many years, and when I bought my Cannon 5D Mark II, I couldn’t get rid of the my old friend. After all, we have shot many, many moments together. So our friendship continued in California…

I just love these of Aimee & Troy.

I LOVE both of these….

Some wonderful portraits of Aimee in the beautiful Joan Shum gown.

Details- Amazing details from Cortnie at Lollipop Events & Designs.

and the little handmade box from Lucky Bug Handmade Paper Delights.

The cake created by the talented Erica O’Brien.

Flower design by Isari Flower Studio

Thank you Jessica for making this an amazing experience!
You are such an inspiration to me…

Kitchen Creations for My Doggie- Do

First, let me introduce you to Ellie.

This is the look she gives when she thinks she is in trouble or when she is not so amused to have her picture taken…

In fact, she was really bored and just about had enough of this picture thing…

Until I mentioned the magic word {TREAT}!

Then she decided to start talkin’

and I had 100% of her attention.

You see, my Mother gave me this book set for my birthday called Organic Dog Biscuit Cookbook from the Bubba Rose Biscuit Company.

I made some treats for Ellie on Saturday afternoon and oh man, did they smell yummy! So yummy, in fact they made house smell like bannana bread. Yum-o as Rachel Ray would say! I have made homemade doggie treats before, but never anything quite like this. They were such a hit with Ellie, I have decided to write a little something up for everyone to share with their little doggie-do.

Bannana B’ Oats
1 1/2 c. oat flour
1 1/2 c. brown rice flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. rolled oats {old- fashioned kind, not instant}
1/2 c. oat bran
1 egg
1/2 c. bannanas {mashed & pureed}
1/2 c. water

Preheat to 350. Combine all ingredients together and mix thoroughly. Roll into small balls {about 1″ in diameter} and place on an ungreased cookie sheet {they can be rather close together as they don’t spread while cooking}. Press each one down with your hand to flatten the cookies {I created a small well in the center and added a few Carob Chips to them- no, not chocolate chips, but the safe alternative for our doggies- Carob}.

Bake 18-22 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool completely on a wire rack. Store at room temperature in a loosely covered container, or they may be placed in the freezer.

While I was photographing the doggie do treats, I looked over and look who was watching my every move. She must have known that these were for her!

So, with the Ellie stamp of approval, please share these treats with your own doggie-do and order this book from the Bubba Rose Biscuit Company. Your Doggie-Do will thank you for it!

Enjoy!

Straight from a Fairytale- Part II {Details}

Details, Details, Details. Amazing details. Details a photographer loves….

I am not sure where to start with the details from the Jessica Claire workshop I attended 2 weeks ago. Not a single detail was left out from the amazing Cortnie from Lollipop Events & Designs. Tiny little details- fun to photograph- which all help make a wedding unique.

Bloomingdales had the amazing details for the Dinnerware, Flatware, Flutes & China:

Creative floral design by Isari Flower Studio proved to enhance the beauty of this event.

Calligraphy by Laura Hooper. Such a creative way to add class and elegance to the table.

The cocktail/reception area was such a treat! Lot’s of little things that enhanced and showed the theme of the wedding. From paper globes hanging in the trees to clocks set to times all around the world. Such a unique way to make this an amazing travel theme!

The ceremony has some truly amazing elements. From the blue chairs that the guests sat in to the chandelier from a boat’s steering wheel hanging in the tree.

Right before you entered into the area where the dinner was to be served, you were greeted by these wonderful details.

These tiny little handmade boxes by Lucky Bug Handmade Paper Delights. When you look close, you see the tiny bride and groom…

The dessert table was amazing! It included a cake made by the very talented Erica O’Brien.

I would like to send out a special thanks to Be Inspired Public Relations.
And because I just loved the way Aimee looked, I will leave you for now with a shot I captured as she winked at Troy

Stay tuned for the final post- Part III.

JC/OC Workshop- Straight from a Fairytale, Part I

I. Love. Learning. I love to learn from the very best. One thing I have told myself is that I would attend more classes to better myself and my work this year. This is a wonderful start to the New Year. Jessica Claire is an amazing teacher. Her work is brilliant. Her personality is amazing.

As I sat surrounded by 18 other gifted & very talented photographers, I realized that we all were in the same boat. We came to learn and learn we did…

Hats off to the amazingly talented people whom put all this together. It rained, they had a backup location. The backup location was terribly muddy, and they had a backup to the backup. Thank you to Cortnie at Lollipop Events & Designs for designing this shoot. It was filled with amazing details. Details a photographer dreams of. The most perfect details.

Vivian, you are a goddess to brides everywhere. You bring out the very best in them. You are a very talented make-up artist.

Aimee was the most perfect model and wore the attire perfectly. Here she displays the beautiful head piece by Alisa Benay.

Upcycled Vintage Bridal Jewelry, Accessories & Heirloom Jeweled Bouquet were amazing. So unique…

Troy and Aimee were perfect models. I believe that their love showed through in these pictures. Real. True. Forever.

Joan, you are an amazingly talented dress designer. We could not have asked for more beautiful attire on a bride. Brides everywhere should be knocking down your door to wear your unique, one of a kind designs. I look forward to working with you in the future….

Troy wore a suit from Bloomingdales. Very stylish…

The table and chairs are from Fete Accompli and I think they may gotten them straight from a fairytale. At first glance, I was thinking of Cindarella, but as I received some comments that made me start to think, maybe from Alice in Wonderland. The Mad Hatter threw the tea party himself….

I know that I posted this one in my sneak peek, but I just love it…

Once again, True Love…

The beautiful Lindye Galloway posed as a bridesmaid, but she is also a great friend to Aimee.

A quick change for Aimee and Troy to finish off the day. The get a way dress is another unique design by Joan…

I Love, Love, Love this shot…

Stay tuned for Part II a little later this week. I promise to not disappoint! It will be filled with all kinds of details…
